Boston Workers’ Compensation Law

In Massachusetts, all employers are required to have workers’ compensation coverage for their employees. Workers’ compensation coverage provides benefits for workplace injuries or illnesses. In Massachusetts, you must put up a “Notice to Employees” poster on the wall of your workplace’s common area. It should include the name of your employer's workers’ compensation carrier and must be able to be read in all relevant languages. The Department of Industrial Accidents has tools online that allows employees to see if their workers’ compensation coverage is up to date.

What Does Workers’ Compensation Cover in Massachusetts?
