Arlington Personal Injury Lawyers

The town of Arlington is located six miles northwest of Boston in Middlesex County. It was originally settled as the village of Menotomy in 1635 by European colonists, and played a significant role in the Revolutionary War. In fact, the very first battle was fought in Menotomy just hours after Paul Revere rode through the village to alert the colonists of the approaching British. Menotomy is also the birth place of Samuel Wilson, the famous meat-packer who became the inspiration behind Uncle Sam. One of two memorials is located in Arlington to commemorate the life of Uncle Sam (the other is in Troy, New York, where Samuel lived for most of his life). The name of the village was changed to Arlington in 1867 to honor individuals laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. Today, Arlington covers 5.2 square miles of land and has a population of 42,844 (based off of the 2010 US Census). It is surrounded by the Mystic Lakes, Alewife Brook, and Mystic River. Mill Brook, which played an important part in the town’s early economic history, runs through the town. Seven mills were built along Mill Brook in the early 1600’s, one of which is still working today. The Schwamb Mill, built in 1650, is the oldest operational mill in the United States.

The Arlington personal injury lawyers at Bellotti Law Group, P.C. have three decades of experience serving members of Arlington and its neighboring communities who have been injured or wronged through the negligent conduct of others. Some of our most common areas of practice include personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, defective product liability, medical malpractice, car accidents, bike accidents, and pedestrian accidents. However, this is only a small sample of the many cases we have expertly handled over the years. The personal injury attorneys at Bellotti Law Group, P.C. understand the impact that a disastrous injury can have on you and your loved ones. Our goal is to ease the physical and emotional strain with empathy and a desire to achieve a fair settlement.

One type of personal injury claim that we handle is workers’ compensation. Generally, workers’ compensation laws offer medical benefits for emergency medical care, including time with a doctor or in the hospital. However, workers’ compensation usually covers the bare minimum and does not include expenses for items such as pain and suffering or future lost earning potential. Although Massachusetts has some of the most comprehensive workers’ compensation benefits in the country, you should still consult an attorney before accepting a compensation amount if you have been injured resulting from your duties as an employee. Please contact a Boston personal injury lawyer at one of our Boston, Cambridge, or Quincy offices today at 617-225-2100 for a FREE evaluation of your case.
